Senior intellectual and Property Officer at Nightlife Music
Amanda graduated with a law and commerce degree from Griffith University. Like
many budding lawyers she volunteered at a community legal centre. At some stage
she decided to pivot away from a career as a practising lawyer and now uses her law
degree as senior intellectual and property officer at Nightlife Music
Amanda talks about:
Why she chose to pursue a career in the corporate sector rather than the
legal sector;
A novel way of choosing your university;
Using your networks to find work;
Creating opportunities by volunteering your time;
Why a career in the music industry;
What is a background music company and what does it do;
What it means to be an Anglo Indian; and
so much more.
Joining me to interview Amanda is her good friend Bryony Walters a lawyer
practising primarily in Social Security Law.
My thanks to Amanda and Bryony
